Kingston 11 Cuisine: Reviews & Ratings
This is the first Jamaican restaurant I've been to with a place to dine in and eat! Good ample seating, clean, and the food came out quick. The waitress was nice. The drinks were strong AF. Had to tone it down. The vibe was loud and cheerful. First Friday festival was taking place and it was great. You can bring the family. Good portions !
This place is amazing! Best oxtails in the bay! I do hate they opened another location, it seems less authentic. I do understand both locations are owned by the same people but the newer location doesn’t have the same atmosphere as the original. I’ll still be supporting.
Definitely didn't expect to find delicious traditional Jamaican food on the West Coast but Kingston 11 doesn't disappoint. I ordered a daiquiri and then the spiked sorrel drink after my food had arrived. The jerk chicken brunch was the perfect meal. The dark meat was perfectly cooked and the split breast was flavorful throughout. My lady ordered the Montego scramble and was thoroughly satisfied as the cassava hash added a healthy heartiness to the plate that you just don't get from potatoes. The cornbread is some of the best ever. PERIOD. I would go back just for the cornbread. All in, the value, flavors, drinks and vibes are worth every bit of 5 stars and more!
Visiting from New Orleans, decided to give it a try and it was delicious, me and my family all ordered the oxtail stew, all four of us thoroughly enjoyed it. The gravy had a subtle sweet taste but it was also flavorful. So delicious. If you happen to be in the area it’s definitely worth a try. Oh yeah and the music they play in the background is a nice calm vibe. It’s like island hip hop music
Very good food, very well seasoned, decent variety! I had the nice flaky beef patty to start and chicken curry and it was very good, just the right amount of spice, and it had very tasty curry sauce. Finished off with the black cake and rum raisin ice cream...very satisfying meals. Only complaint is they ran out of the chicken curry for my friend...even though chicken curry is literally the staple dish at any Carribean restaurant, and it was only 11:50ish when we came in.
If you don't get the goat and/or Ox tail, then you're wrong. No beer on draft but I suppose this can be forgiven given the quality of the rum and rum cocktails. Staff is crazy friendly. I'd absolutely come here again.
The food is pretty good. The service needs improvement. The jerk chicken salad is a really generous portion and tasty but not spicy at all. I ordered salt fish fritters but never got them. When I asked the server the first time a while after everything else came out she said oh let me enter the order. When I asked again she said they were mistakenly sent to another table and they were sold out. She didn't write anything down and kept forgetting what we ordered. We did get free ginger beer, which was nice, because someone who ordered them didn't pick them up.
Great chill spot to enjoy good food and drinks. Was torn between ordering the French Toast and the oxtail and hash. Chose the oxtails and what a good decision I made lol. I'm an outer towner but whenever go back to the bay area, I most definitely will be attending here again.
